Paul M. Sawtell, President/Title Officer

Paul M. Sawtell has worked in the title business since 1976. He was manager of Pyramid Title Company, with offices located in Marion and Mount Vernon, IL. In 1979, he was employed as a title examiner/underwriter with Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company in Fairfax, Virginia. From 1983 to 1989 he managed Associated Abstract, Inc.’s office in Arlington, Virginia, overseeing all aspects of the production of title reports for title insurance companies and attorneys. Since 1989, he has been self-employed trading as Real Estate Information Service, providing quality title examinations to title insurance companies, attorneys and several nationwide title reporting services. 

Paul is president of Dominion Title Corp. and oversees the underwriting aspects of it. He has been an Ambassador for the Reston Chamber of Commerce and served on the Systems Committee of the American Land Title Association. Also, Paul is a Board Member of Reston Inter-Faith Housing Corporation and a member of McLean Rotary.

Connie J. Sawtell has been employed as an accountant and controller, in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Washington, DC area, in various capacities since 1977. From 1992 to 1994 she worked as a recording coordinator for Real Estate Information Service, Herndon, VA. In this capacity she coordinated recording of real estate documents for various title companies and law firms in Northern Virginia. She has continued in this capacity as well as being employed as an accountant for a builder of luxury homes in McLean and Great Falls, VA. 

Connie is currently a Vice President of Dominion Title and is in charge of all marketing, administrative, settlement and accounting aspects thereof, including escrow disbursals and reconciliations. She is also a member of Commercial Real Estate Women, and is on the Membership Committee of the American Land Title Association and Treasurer of Great Falls Friends.
